United Methodists believe that all people in the church are called to be involved in ministry. One way of ministering is to serve on a committee or work area. Each newsletter will contain a brief explanation of one or two of our churches committees or leadership opportunities. We hope this will better inform you of where you can use your gifts and talents. The Board of Trustees The Trustees is composed of nine members. The Chairperson is Robert Hansbrough. Currently the Trustees are to implement: 1. Conduct and annual inventory of all real property. 2.With the Committee on Pastor Parish Relations (PPR), conduct at least one inspection and inventory each year of the parsonage. 3.Inspect and inventory all equipment and set up a maintenance schedule. 4.Set up a schedule for painting and redecorating. 5.Consider the merits of service contracts and large equipment, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, heating systems, typewriters, copiers, computers and other such equipment. 6.Insure that our facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities. 7.Develop guidelines for receiving and managing wills an trusts, bequeaths, and other investments given to the church. 8.Contact the local utility company for an energy audit. 9.Evaluate the insurance coverage annually. |
